After the approval and some discussions with the EU the SETWind H2020 project started officially on April 2 with its kick-off meeting in Bilbao. Adjacent to the Wind Europe Conference, the kick-off meeting was held in the beautiful Euskalduna Conference Centre. The partners of the project met for a full day together with the EU officer and two participants from JRC to discuss the plan and strategy of the project to create a successful implementation team for Offshore Wind.
Europe wants to maintain its global leadership in offshore wind energy and SETWind mission is to help in that!
The ambition of the project is to inspire, facilitate and create new nationally funded cross border collaborations between research organisations, industrial partners and other stakeholders in the field of offshore wind energy. This is called institutional alignment.
And while it is at it, SETWind will also support the Implementation Plan working group, update the implementation plan and monitor and report on progress towards its targets.
Mattias Anderson has the pleasure to coordinate a group of senior managers in wind energy and inspiring newcomers to the SETWind community, who will tell our stories as we go along.
Team members: Mattias Anderson, Peter Eecen, John Olav Tande, Stephan Barth, Xabier Munduate, Flaminia Riccioni Capelli, Kirstine Hauge Dahlgaard.
At the Kick-off meeting participated also the EC project officer Nuno Quental, ETIPWIND secretary Alexander Vandenberghe and the colleagues Thomas and Christina from JRC in Petten.
